Russia’s fishing industry is witnessing a number of drastic changes, the head of the state committee for fisheries, Andrei Krainy, said on Wednesday according to Itar-Tass.
He is meeting with representatives of fishing companies in the Primorsky territory and scientists of the Pacific scientific and research centre of the fishing industry.
“The key factors of the industry’s growth are efficient state control, increased powers of regional authorities, investment stimulation and introduction of state-of-the-art technologies for fish and seafood processing that will help market not raw products, but produce with high added value,” he said.
