The Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has downgraded its forecast for gas production and export in 2007 by five billion cubic metres, Itar-Tass reports.
The production forecast has been downgraded to 660 billion cubic metres and the gas export forecast reduced to 192 billion cubic metres, the head of the ministry’s consolidated macroeconomic forecasting, Andrei Klepach, said.
He explained the change by “the mainly warm winter” but “this is still positive dynamics as compared to last year’s indicators”.
At the same time, he added, “The long-term forecast has slightly changed too.”
