Zaliv Shipyard (Ukraine) finalizes construction of a chemical tanker for Aker Breila of Romania
Zaliv Shipyard (Kerch, Crimea) finalized construction of the hull for a chemical tanker ordered by Romanian company Aker Breila, RZD-Partner reports. This 15,000-dwt ton vessel is the second one in the series of five tankers. The hull’s weight is 1.875 thou tons. The construction started in 2006 under the contract of cooperation between Zaliv Shipyard and Norwegian Aker Yards. The content of the program scheduled for 7 years is not revealed though it is believed to cost up to €1 billion.
