Maersk Line upgrads the South Atlantic Express service
As company reports, the key feature of the upgrade is the introduction of increased capacity while maintaining current schedules. The focus of the service will continue to be to provide market leading transit times and schedule reliability between the direct ports in Central America and the US East Coast.
With this upgrade Maersk Line reaffirms its commitment to serving valued customers in the US East Coast and Central American markets. In early November 2006 two vessels of 1,100 TEU effective capacity will join the service replacing the existing tonnage.
The upgraded SAE service will provide increased reefer and 45' slots compared to today’s deployment, in order to cater for the requirements of the existing market and allow for growth in the US East Coast - Central American markets.
