A ton of fuel oil mixture collected in the Amur Bay
Specialists have collected about one ton of fuel oil mixture and cleaned about 500 meters of contaminated coastline in the Amur Bay at Vladivostok, municipal emergency situations board reports according to IA REGNUM. Currently the liquidation work has resumed, 42 specialists and 7 units of equipment participate in it. According to earlier IA REGNUM reports, fuel oil spilled into the Amur Bay in Vladivostok on October 25, while a tanker was being filled at the Primorsknefteprodukt enterprise. The spill spread over 1,000 square meters, about 1 ton of oil products entered the sea. The BAM tanker is owned by Primorje Shipping Company. Initially fuel oil leaked on the deck and then entered the sea. The spill has been localized. A lot of booms were installed and oil products collection was started. Specialists of the Ministry of RF for Civil Defense, Emergency Management and Natural Disasters response as well as Rosprirodnadzor representatives are to clean about 400 meters of contaminated coastline.
