MSC's Asia-Black Sea service adds Qingdao to rotation

Mediterranean Shipping Company's (MSC) Tiger Service between Asia and Black Sea region recently made its debut in the Port of Qingdao's China Merchants Qingdao Terminals.
The 6,700-TEU MSC Florentina was the line's first ship to call at Qingdao. The ship is 300 metres wide and 40 metres long. Port rotation of the weekly service is Istanbul, Constanza, Mersin, Jeddah, Colombo, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Xiamen, Qingdao, Tianjin, Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Fuzhou.
Besides the Tiger Service, another two weekly services of MSC Lion and Phoenix have already added Qingdao as their rotations. The three lines are said to have an annual capacity of 600,000 TEU.
China Merchants Qingdao Terminals now has two berths in operation with a quay length of 790 metres and a water depth of 17 metres. The facility can handle 1.2 million TEU a year.
