China-Russia trade via Manzhouli reaches record high last year
Trade between China and Russia via Manzhouli customs checkpoint grew 27.1 per cent in 2007 to a new record of US$8.43 billion, Xinhua reported.
Exports from China to Russia jumped 96.1 per cent to $990 million while imports rose 21.4 per cent to $7.44 billion, the report said.
State-own enterprises dominated China-Russia trade via Manzhouli with trade value up 21.7 per cent to $5.21 billion, accounting for 61.7 per cent in the total trade value, the report said.
Private-own enterprises handled $2.58 billion, an increase of 39.5 per cent year on year or 30.6 per cent in the total trade value.
