ICTSI Yantai terminal handles larger containerships

Yantai Rising Dragon International Container Terminals Ltd (YRDICT) says that the largest containership to dock at the Yantai port to date was Cosco's 4,200-TEU vessel, the Shanhe.
YRDICT, a subsidiary of Manila-based International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI), handled a total of 628 TEU on board the vessel, most of which were export containers.
In recent years, the mainland China port of Yantai has been experiencing growth in domestic container trade volumes, prompting shipping lines such as Cosco to replace old 1,900-TEU vessels with 4,200-TEU ships, according to a statement from the ICTSI.
