Throughput of Vladivostok Container Terminal up 24% in Jan 08, y-o-y, to 15,229 TEU

In January 2008, throughput of Vladivostok Container Terminal totaled 15,229 TEU (+24%, year-on-year), the company reports.

The volume of export containers handled by VCT grew by 10%, year-on-year – 5,726 TEU in 2007 to 6,303 TEU in 2008. In the reported period, turnover of import containers climbed by 30%, to 5,935 TEU against 3,992 TEU in January 2007. The volume of coastal trade cargo grew by 48% – from 2,517 TEU to 3,733 TEU. Loaded/empty containers ratio was 49.45% against 50.55% respectively.
