Israeli shipping line Zim to use Rotterdam as the first European port of call in the "East West Express Service"

The Israeli shipping line Zim is to use Rotterdam as the first European port of call in the "East West Express Service" rotation between the Far East and Northern Europe. When this service started in January, Antwerp was chosen as the sole port of call in the Benelux. Zim was one of the few shipping companies without its own direct Rotterdam call from the Far East. Including this service, there are now 26, about three-quarters of all services. The company has nine 10,000 TEU ships on order for the Far East trade.
The complete new European rotation of the service will be: Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Antwerp, Southampton and Le Havre. The service will be operated by eight vessels with a capacity of 4,250 TEU. The first call will be on 20 July. The Asiatic destinations are Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Shekou and Port Kelang.
