Pella Shipyard launches the fourth tugboat, ordered by Sovcomflot

Leningrad Shipyard Pella (Pella JSC) has launched the Danube tug, being built for Sovcomflot. This is the fourth 16609/2 project ship ordered by the shipping company. The delivery is scheduled for the end of this summer, the shipbuilder statement said.

Ship dimensions: LOA - 28.5 m, beam - 9,5 m, depth 4,8 m, draught overall about 4,5 m, crew - 8, bollard pull - 47 tons, two main engines rated 1491 kW each, Caterpillar 3516 B; class KM * Arc4 R2 Aut1 FF3 WS Tug.

Pella Shipyard was founded in 1950. In 1992 the state-owned enterprise was privatized, turned Pella Holding Company comprising of the head office and a number of its subsidiaries.
