Gazprombank may place orders for construction in the Kola Bay of the concrete bases and equipment for 20 offshore ice-resistant drilling rigs and 50 platform supply vessels, local governor told the Gas Information Agency, Interfax reports.
Murmansk region Governor Dmitry Dmitrienko said the order value might reach $ 20 billion. If the order is received, the construction could begin in 1-1.5 years after the design work phase.
Currently, the region is able to build concrete bases for 2 offshore platforms and fit them out. The platforms will be used for exploration of Gazprom’s Yamal oil and gas deposits.
