Two ships of North-Western Shipping Company (NWSC), the Rusich-2 and the Rusich-7 laden with heavy-lift cargo arrived in the Big Port St. Petersburg from Norway and Sweden. The cargo is intended for a drilling rig, now under construction, for the Caspian Sea oil deposit, the shipping company said.
The total weight of the cargo is 1344 tons (components for installation helipads and other equipment). After customs clearance of the cargo in St. Petersburg, the vessels will proceed to Astrakhan, and then to the port of destination, Baku.
The operator’s vessels have been transporting the heavy and oversized cargo for the construction of offshore facilities in the Caspian Sea Shipping since 2003.
