Miclyn gets $26m Saudi Aramco contract
Miclyn Express Offshore (MEO) has secured a $26m contract to provide three crew/utility vessels for Saudi Aramco, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The contracts are for five years with two-year optional extensions. They are all scheduled to start between December and January.
MEO also announced several moves to rejig its fleet. It has exercised an option to buy two new crew/utility vessels under an existing agreement with a Singapore yard, with the vessels due for delivery in 1QFY14 while divesting two of its 76-metre barges to an Australian client for a net gain of $300,000 in FY13.
The company meanwhile has started building two 122-metre ballastable barges at its Batam yard, which are scheduled for delivery in 1QFY14.
