Hallin starts ROV job
Hallin Marine has commenced a new remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) support and inspection project in Donghae gas field located off the coast of South Korea in the Sea of Japan, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The latest contract includes deployment of DP2 capable Kendal, which will support a range of underwater inspection and survey services for the ROV and survey equipment onboard.
“The Kendal was chosen for her suitability to the conditions of the environment. Her structural design and onboard equipment are ideal for the provision of full IRM support and services in the harsh weather conditions for which the Donghae field is known. Commenced on 11 October, the project is scheduled to run for 30 days,” said Rik Zwinkels, managing director of Hallin's Singapore East Division.
