Sinotrans signs up to INTTRA network
INTTRA, the world’s largest ocean shipping network, announced today that Sinotrans Ltd has expanded the scope of its partnership by joining the INTTRA NVOCC network, Cargonews Asia reports.
Sinotrans is a comprehensive logistics service provider based in China that delivers a full range of logistics services through more than 400 operating units.
Through this expanded agreement, INTTRA and Sinotrans will drive innovation and further streamline ocean freight management in China.
“Sinotrans and INTTRA will continue to deliver valuable e-commerce services to the ocean shipping market. INTTRA is like a bridge for Sinotrans; they help us to provide better e-commerce services to carriers as well as clients,” said Liu Xinyang, vice-general manager at Sinotrans operations.
“Due to the success we have achieved to date, we are excited about moving forward with developing additional e-commerce capabilities with INTTRA, such as electronic shipping instructions, electronic invoicing, and container tracking and visibility.”
The partnership will immediately allow Sinotrans and its shipping agents throughout North and Central China to reduce manual processing and increase efficiency by automating shipping transactions for their customers through the INTTRA network.
This shift from manual to electronic commerce will deliver the highest quality data for carriers, streamline internal processes for Sinotrans, and improve service for Sinotrans’ customers.
“Sinotrans has been a great partner since 2002, and we are pleased that the company is expanding its relationship with INTTRA,” said Ronald DeBlis, senior vice-president, global sales at INTTRA.
“This next step in our relationship is focused on true market innovation. We are now able to leverage the strengths of both of our organizations to deliver efficient, accurate and timely e-commerce services to every party of the shipment process.”
