Mercator Lines sees non-shipping biz revenue rising
Mercator Lines Ltd expects non-shipping business contributing about 25 percent to 30 percent of revenue in FY10, Nitin Kolhatkar, vice president, Finance, said on Monday. The non-shipping business, which contributed about 10 percent of the firm's revenues in Oct-Dec, includes mining, dredging and offshore.
Mercator had acquired coal mines in Indonesia and Mozambique in 2007 as part of its plan to diversify into related, non-cyclical business.
The company sees FY09 bottomline at 80 to 90 million rupees, Kolhatkar said on a conference call with analysts.
