Angola's state oil company to build port in Sao Tome
Sonangol Oil Corp. is to build a $30 million port in the north of Sao Tome, Agence France-Presse reported, citing Arzemiro dos Prazeres, director of the country’s offshore zone authority. The port should be operational during 2010 and is expected to handle half the daily traffic in the Gulf of Guinea, equivalent to about 100 ships a day, he said. Angola’s state oil company is also considering developing the two-island nation’s airport, the news agency said.
