OOCL Australia launches controlled-temperature LCL consolidation service
OOCL has announced a new Controlled-Temperature LCL consolidation service from Australia to Japan and Hong Kong.
The new service will enable wine and confectionery shippers to transport their consignments via sea freight in controlled conditions.
Export shipments will be consolidated at OOCL's accredited temperature-controlled warehouse in Sydney for shipping to Tokyo and Hong Kong, where the cargo will be professionally unpacked at OOCL's appointed warehouses, where weekly storage is available.
This year, OOCL is celebrating the 40th anniversary of containerisation. OOCL's first ship reached the US Atlantic Coast and Europe in 1947, and in 1969, the shipping company took a giant step for global trade by embracing containerisation.
OOCL now operates in 58 countries, linking Asia, Europe, North America, the Mediterranean, Indian Sub-Continent, the Middle East and Australia/New Zealand.
