Fujian-Taiwan box volume up 1.2% in first 9 months

Direct container services between Fujian province and Taiwan carried 455,262 teu in the first nine months of the year, a rise of 1.2% over
the corresponding period last year, according to reports, Seatrade Asia online reports.

The number of trips rose 3.5% to 1,842. Meanwhile direct bulk shipping services rose sharply, with 9.9m tonnes being carried on 1,593 sailings, up 41.5% and 52% respectively from the year before.
