Railway transportation of Transgarant up 17.3% to 24.8 mln t in 2008
In 2008, turnover of Transgarant (FESCO Group) amounted to 34.6 bln ton-km (+8.1%, year-on-year). The volume of cargo transported by the company increased by 17.3% to 24.8 million tonnes, the Group reports. Transportation of coal grew by 70%, cement – by 170%, mineral and construction materials – by 80%, while transportation of ore cargoes fell by 10%.
Transportation of containers by fitting platforms totaled 58,600 TEU (up almost 5-fold as compared with 2007).

Rolling stock of the company consists of various units including universal rail cars (gondola cars, box cars and platforms), and specialized rail cars: ore pellet cars, petrol and ammonia tanks, grain cars, fitting platforms, platforms for transportaion wide sheets, cement cars, mineral cars, tanks for liquefied gas transportation.
The company operates 5 main line diesel locomotives and 2 shunting locomotives.
The companys sales according to IFRS in 2007 made up 4.7 billion rubles.
