Maersk revises South Atlantic Express service
Maersk Line has announced revisions to its current South Atlantic Express (SAE) service, including the addition of calls at Savannah and Wilmington.
The addition of these calls and adjustments to the overall schedule broadens service coverage and improves transit times.
After March 3rd, the revised SAE service will no longer call at the Port of Charleston, and the northbound call to Miami will be dropped from February 8th.
However, the SAE service makes a southbound call at Miami, where connections are available through the Port of Puerto Cortes using Maersk's Expreso service, and introduces calls at the Port of Savannah, Georgia (from March 5th) and the Port of Wilmington, North Carolina (from March 6th).
The new SAE port rotation is: Savannah (US) > Wilmington (US) > Norfolk (US) > Miami (US) > Puerto Cortes (Honduras) > Santo Tomas (Guatemala).
