Resources of shelf blocks located around the Shtokman gas condensate field in the Barents Sea amount to 1.5-2.0 tn cu m of gas, head of Sevmorneftegaz Alexander Mandel said Thursday. "There are 8-10 formations around the Shtokman field with resources estimated around 1.5-2.0 tn cu m" he said behind the scenes of the Energy Exchange conference. According to Mandel, Gazprom would like to obtain a license to tap them after 2020. Specifically, Gazprom's 100% subsidiary Sevmorneftegaz owns a license to develop the Shtokman field.
