Jasper Investments, owner and operator of offshore drilling rigs, has pocketed $71.8m in cash from the completion of the sale of a rig being built by Singapore's Keppel, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The purchaser of the rig is Mexican oil field services company Integradora De Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro (ON).
The amount received by Jasper Beacon, wholly-owned by Singapore-listed Jasper Investments, included $10.8m previously paid for the grant of the option.
Jasper Investments said ON had exercised its option to purchase and the acquisition was completed on Friday.
