Ministry of Transportation has published a draft order "On approval of the mandatory regulations at the port of Rostov-on-Don."
The regulations for the port of Temryuk were developed pursuant to the Federal Law (№ 261-FZ, Nov. 8, 2007) "On the Sea Ports of the Russian Federation, and on Amendments to the Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation," according to the Federal Law (№ 81-FZ, Apr 30, 1999) “Merchant Shipping Code of the Russian Federation” and General Rules of Navigation and Anchorage in the Ports of the Russian Federation and its approach channels.
The seaport is located on the River Don stretch, from 3,121st km (Aksai river estuary) to the 3151st km of the Don (Koysug river estuary). The port performs cargo operations, including dangerous goods of 2, 3, 4, 4.1, 4.2, 5, 6, 8, 9 hazard classes of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). The freezing port of Rostov-on-Don is accessible year round. In winter seasons, Rosmorport provides icebreaking assistance to merchant ships at the port. The port has a permanent multilateral border crossing point.
