New tariff rates for incoming services from East Asia, based on Hong Kong to Mediterranean / Europe (westbound trade) will be $1,000 for a 20', $2,000 for a 40' and $2,100 for a 40' high cube container with effect from April 1st 2009. At the same time new tariff rates for services from Europe to Asia will be implemented: $250 (20’) resp. $500 (40’). These rates include the bunker and currency surcharge. Further increases are planned for both directions in the course of this year.
Rates for services from Canada, US East Coast, Gulf and Mexico to and from Europe or the Mediterranean will be raised by $160 for a 20' and $200 for a 40' container from April 1st 2009. To and from the US West Coast rates will be increased by $240 for a 20’ container and $300 for a 40' container. For refrigerated containers rates will increase by $240 for a 20’ and $300 for a 40’ container to and from Canada, US East Coast, Gulf and Mexico. To and from US West Coast the respective increase is $400 for a 20’ and 500 for a 40’ container.
Rates for services from Europe to Oceania (Australia/New Zealand/Pacific) will be increased by €200 for a 20' container and €400 for a 40' container as of May 1st 2009.
