Zhenhua Port Machinery gets $80m order
Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Co Ltd (ZPMC), a world leading manufacturer of cranes and large steel structures, said it has received a $80 million order from Vale, the world's largest iron ore developer and supplier. Under the contract signed today, ZPMC will supply cargo handling equipments to be used in Vale's project in Oman. The equipments are scheduled for delivery in mid 2010.
Last August, Vale placed a $1.6 billion order for 12 super-tonnage ore carriers with Jiangsu Rongsheng Heavy Industries Group Co Ltd.
ZPMC is the world's largest quayside machinery producer with customers in 73 countries and regions. The company has a 78 percent global market share in port machinery products.
