Ukrzaliznitsya and sea ports of Ukraine collaboration
Port side railway infrastructure always was a «bottleneck» in the transport system of our country. The problem of carrying capacity of the stations directed to sea ports can appear by a retentive factor for the reanimation of the real sector of economy. Last few years considerable investments were inlaid in development of domestic marine ports, new berths, handling complexes were built.
At the same time, development of railway infrastructure of the port side stations and access railways to them left much to be desired. Initially they were built and equipped for import treatment. But after transition of sea ports on export the character of work has been changed, and the cargo nomenclature has been up. The volumes of work on sorting on railway were accordingly multiplied.
Numbers of port side railway stations in Odessa, Yuzhniy, Ilichevsk, Nikolaev marine ports have already not done for a long time with the volume of arriving cargoes, as their carrying and handling capacity is below, than possibilities of cargo handling operations in the ports.
