The DB Schenker company (logistic subdivision of the Deutsche Bahn (German railways) and «Ukrzaliznitsya» (State administration of railway transport of Ukraine) pulled out a project of start of freight train-shuttles with the route extension to the logistic centers of Germany.
Development of intermodal transportations to direction Ukraine - Germany with support on contrailer transportations by regular routes was an article of negotiations.
During the meeting, participants has selected among others solutions the one of them the start of route of the contrailer transportations Lugansk – Kiev – Slavkov with possibility of extension of regular transportations to Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg and others logistic centers of Europe. Participants agreed about beginning of experiment from the spring 2009.
Question of competitive tariffs forming for transportations of the Ukrainian export to Germany has become an additional point of consideration, and also transit from Russia and Kazakhstan through Ukraine by direction to Europe.
