    Transit transportation by Ukrainian transport down 5.6% to 101.9 mln t in 2008

    In 2008, transit transportation by all types of Ukrainian transport fell by 5.6%, year-on-year, to 101.926 million tonnes, Ukraine’s State Statistics Committee reports according to RZD-Partner. Taking into account pipeline transportation transit fell by 15.9% to 325.423 million tonnes.

    Railway transit decreased by 6.5% to 93.347 million tonnes while automobile transit totaled 4.9 million tonnes (+9.2%, year-on-year).

    Transit transportation by maritime transport climbed by 29.4% to 3.48 million tonnes, by river transport  - over 1.9 times to 74,000 tonnes.
