Fujian ports box volumes rise 10.6% in 2012

Fujian ports posted a 10.6% year-on-year rise in box volume in to 10.7m teu in 2012, Seatrade Asia online reports. Throughput rose 9.9% in Fuzhou to 1.8m teu while in Xiamen container volume was up 11.4% to 7.2m teu, accroding to Xinhua.

Overall cargo volume at Fujian ports also rose 10.9% year-on-year to 414m tonnes, in which Fuzhou port cargo volume increased 11.6% to 114m tonnes and Xiamen port cargo volume increased 10.1% to 172m tonnes.
