In January-February 2013, Russian Railways OJSC loaded 189 mln tons of cargo (-4.8%, year-on-year), press center of RZhD OJSC reports.
The railways loaded 51.4 mln tons of coal (+0.9% against January-February 2012); 2 mln tons of coke (-1.9%); 42.3 mln tons of oil and oil products (-2.4%); 17 mln tons of manganese and iron ore (-0.9%); 11.6 mln tons of ferrous metal (-7.4%); 1.6 mln tons of ferrous metal scrap (-5.5%); 7.6 mln tons of chemical and mineral fertilizers (-0.3%); 3.7 mln tons of cement (-0.4%); 5.5 mln tons of timber cargo (-7.2%); 1.9 mln tons of grain an milling products (-50.1%); 20.8 mln tons of construction cargoes (-11.7%); 3.3 mln tons of non-ferrous ore and raw sulfur (-9.3%); 4.5 mln tons of chemicals and soda (-5.2%); 4.1 mln tons of industrial raw materials and moulding materials (-16%).
From the beginning of 2013 cargo turnover reached 342.2 bln tariff ton-km (-5.6%). Cargo turnover including empty car run — 437.3 bln tariff ton-km ( 5.1%).
In February, the loading declined to 93.9 mln tons (-3.2%, year-on-year) with average daily loading increased by 0.3% against February 2012.
In February, 2013 cargo turnover dropped by 3.8%, year-on-year, to 163.8 bln tariff ton-km. Cargo turnover including empty car run fell by 2% to 210.3 bln tariff ton-km.
