Oil production in Russia not expected to fall significantly in 2009

Oil production in Russia should not fall too much this year, Nikolai Tokarev, president of pipeline operator Transneft, told reporters. 

Т.Tokarev said drilling had been scaled down, but Transneft was still handling roughly as much oil as a year ago. He said volumes were only 150,000 tonnes down, Interfax reports according to RZD-Partner.
