The port’s approach channel is 2 miles long and 14.5 meters deep. The port’s outer anchorage can accommodate 24 vessels. The berthing line of the port is 2.6 kilometers long, the depth at the berth ranges within 12.5-15 meters. The port’s open storage space is 145,000 square meters. In 2008, the port handled 21.698 million tonnes of cargo.
