Loading in January-April 2009 was 336.8 million tons, that is 26 % lower than the similar period of last year.
It included the following transit volumes: coal - more than 86 million tons (-18.6 %), coke – 2.6 million tons (-40.2 %), oil and mineral oil – 75.8 million tons (-5.1 %), iron and manganous ores – more than 28 million tons (-23.7 %), ferrous metals – 19.6 million tons (-33.4 %), chemical and mineral fertilizers – 12.7 million tons (-20.4 %), grain and grain refinery products – 8.3 million tons (+19.5 %), construction materials -34.4 million tons (-47.5 %).
Loading in April of the current year was 89.2 million tons of cargoes (-22.7 %). In comparison with April 2008 there was a decrease in the loading of coal by 12.6 %, coke - 38.6 %, oil and mineral oil - 2.4 %, iron and manganous ores - 15.6 %, ferrous metals - 36 %, chemical and mineral fertilizers - 14.3 % and construction cargoes - 39.2 %.
In April 2009, in comparison with March 2009, the loading of coke grew by 5.5 %, iron and manganous ores - 6.5 %, cement - 18.2 %, wood cargoes - 3.1 % and construction cargoes - by 9.3 %.
The turnover of goods for the last four months of 2009 decreased by 17.7 % to 677.9 billion tons/km. The turnover of goods in April this year was 177 billion tons/km (-14.6 %).
