RPK-Vysotsk LUKOIL-II to accept first river tanker in navigation-2009 today

RPK-Vysotsk LUKOIL-II (Leningrad region, the Gulf of Finland) will accept two sea-and-river going tankers with oil products today, the first in navigation-2009. As PortNews IAA learnt from the operating schedule of vessels’ calls on the terminal from the Volga-Baltic system, in May Vysotsk expects handling some 80,000 tonnes of heavy fuel oil delivered by river. As PortNews IAA reported earlier, sea-and-river going vessels delivered 450,000 tonnes of export heavy fuel oil to RPK-Vysotsk LUKOIL-II in summer navigation-2008. The plans for navigation-2009 have not been determined yet.

Vysotsk oil terminal accepts sea-and-river going tankers from May 2006. It is the forth navigation when oil products are delivered from Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez Refinery (LUKOIL) by Volga-Flot Tanker LLC (from 2009 – Independent Transport Company, former Volga-Baltic Company).

In the first quarter of 2009, RPK-Vysotsk LUKOIL-II exported 3.1 million tonnes of oil products (heavy fuel oil, diesel fuel, vacuum gas oil). In 2008, export of LUKOIL oil products via Vysotsk terminal totaled 12.6 million tonnes. The terminal is owned by LUKOIL, Russia’s largest private oil company.
