The Swedish owner Furetank Rederi has decided to terminate its co-operation with Maersk/Broström. “We have agreed on a solution that benefits all parties”, says Lars Höglund, managing director of the Donsö-based tanker owner.
In connection with this, the commercial manager Broström Tankers Denmark will be closed and personnel transferred to a new company, Milestone Maritime, that will handle commercial management for the Furetank fleet as well as the fleet of Älvtank Rederi, also a Donsö tanker owner.
Broström Tankers Denmark is the former Nortank that was established in the middle of the 80ies, with Furetank as one of the founding owners. It was bought by Broström in 2005. The company has been commercial managers for several Swedish owners as Älvtank, Heron, Väderötank, Swedia, Donsötank and Laurin and also Danish Uni Tankers.
