In January-April 2009, Commercial Port of Vladivostok handled 1.620 million tonnes of cargo (down 1.3 times, year-on-year), the company states.
In the reported period transshipment of export cargo totaled 1.127 million tonnes; import – 252,200 tonnes; coastal trade cargo – 241,200 tonnes.
The port’s container terminal handled 57,509 TEU including 19,074 TEU of coastal trade containers; 17,385 TEU of import and 21,050 TEU of export.

According to Sergei Lopunov, Production Director of the company, basic growth was demonstrated in the sector of export metal. In the 4-month period the company handled 900,600 tonnes of metal goods including 311,000 tonnes in April. Sergei Lopunov also noted that handling of coastal trade containers increased by 25% in April 09. Besides, the port started handling export grain.

Commercial Port of Vladivostok operates 17 berths including container, passenger, motor car specialized berths. handled 516,600 tonnes of cargo including 369,500 tonnes of export cargo; 80,600 tonnes of import cargo; 66,500 tonnes of coastal trade cargo. Container terminal handled 15,522 TEU including 5,354 TEU of coastal trade containers, 4,812 TEU of import and 5,356 TEU of export.
