Hyundai Heavy says submitted bid for Hyundai Corp

South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries , the world's top shipbuilder, said on Wednesday it had submitted a bid to acquire Hyundai Corp.
Korea Exchange Bank , one of Hyundai Corp's major shareholders, said in December that Hyundai's 11 shareholders had agreed to put a majority stake in the trading and resource-development company up for sale in early 2009.
