Net loss of Murmansk Commercial Seaport makes RUR 361.4 mln in Q1 09

In the first quarter of 2009, net loss of Murmansk Commercial Seaport OJSC totaled RUR 361.442 mln against 25,250-ruble loss a year ago, the company officially states.

In the reported period, MCS earning totaled RUR 914.438 mln, gross income – RUR 485.863 mln.  

JSC Murmansk Commercial Seaport was established in 1994 on base of the public enterprise and nowadays it is one of Russia’s busiest ports. The port has 17 berths with total length of some 3,000 meters. The length and depth enables the port to handle vessels of up to 15.5 meters in draft and over 265 meters in length. In 2008 the company handled14.329.183 million tonnes of cargo.
