RosTechNadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Environment, Technology and Nuclear Management) has approved the results of the state environmental review of the materials on the project for construction of Russian Marine Oil Terminal Vistino. According to RosTechNadzor press center, a corresponding document was signed by the acting head of the Service.
The document is valid for 5 years.
It should be reminded that in January 2004, North-West Alliance LLC (St. Petersburg) won the contest for construction of a port terminal for transshipment of oil products with a complex of on-shore facilities and an approach railway in Vistino Bay (Kingisepp district of the Leningrad region).
The project’s cost is estimated at RUR 13 bln. It is supposed to implement the project within 2-3 years while a pay-back period is to make 8 years. The terminal’s design capacity is 10 million tonnes per year with a possibility of expansion to 18 million tonnes.
According to the design the terminal will be capable of handling vessels with displacement of up to 120,000 tonnes. Tank farm capacity is to make 470,000 cubic meters, maximal annual number of calls - 240.
