Net loss of Novolesexport OJSC totals RUR 53.6 mln in Q1 09

In the first quarter of 2009, net loss of Novolesexport OJSC amounted to RUR 53.546 mln against RUR 86.663 mln of profit in the same period of the previous year, the company states.

In the reported period, the company’s earnings increased almost 1.4 times to RUR 402.578 mln (in the first quarter of 2008 – RUR 291.190 mln)

In 2008, net profit of Novolesexport OJSC totaled RUR 88.441 mln, up 2.5 times against 2007. the company’s earning increased by 51.7% to RUR 1.328 bln in 2008 due to a 33-pct growth of throughput to 3.465 million tonnes.

Novolesexport OJSC is a multi-purpose port located in Novorossiysk, Russia’s largest southern port (eastern shore of the Black Sea). The company specializes in transshipment of containers and timber.
