Government will finance construction of certain class vessels – Sergei Ivanov

Not certain industries but specific competitive project should be financed, Sergei Ivanov, Vice PM of the Russian Federation thinks.

In his interview to information channel Vesti he said that the state does not just provide money for all shipyards in the country.

“We provide money for designing, construction and sale, or marketing research of certain class vessels, for example, hi-tech vessels for shelf development and oil-and-gas carriers. This is what we need for ourselves and for export. Besides, we will support construction of vessels which are either not built in other countries or for which we are still competitive,” he explained.
