The company published an announcement to find an operator in the European public announcements system and several potential strategic partners showed interest, CEO Ain Kaljurand said.
The Port of Tallinn has 27 hectares of additional terminal area with 400 meters of wharves under construction in the eastern part of Muuga Port. The work is planned to be finished in about a years time.
The company continues negotiations over the container terminal with the Chinese port of Ningbo and has also received an offer from the firm operating at Muuga at present.
According to Kaljurand, the goal of the Port of Tallinn is to pick the partner that makes the best offer for operating the terminal.
