The memorandum was signed today by Vnesheconombank Board Member, Anatoliy Ballo, RZD Senior Vice-President, Boris Lapidus, and the General Director of TransContainer, Petr Baskakov at the IV International Rail Business Forum “1520 Strategic Partnership”.
The sides agreed to cooperate and coordinate actions to develop an international railway infrastructure and organize unified cargo transport services on the territories of Kazakhstan and Russia; to create unified cargo handling facilities, to expand the Russian transit potential and to stimulate export of Russian transport services. This agreement is a continuation of the memorandum between RZD and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy about joint cargo handling at terminals, which was signed in Astana (Kazakhstan) on May 21st.
