Palmali Group signs contract with Armada Shipyard (Turkey) for construction of 5 tankers of mixed sea-river navigation. 7,150-DWT vessels of Armada project RST22M will be delivered starting from May 2015.
The first series of 10 Armada vessels was built to the order of Palmali Group in 2002-2006 at SELAH and ADA shipyards (Turkey).
The construction of the second series is nearing completion at Besiktas shipyard (Turkey). The seventh Armada vessel will be named Shovket Alekperova and floated out on April 30, 2014. With the completion of this project, Palmali fleet will number of 22 Armada tankers.
By 2017, Palmali Group plans to expand its cargo fleet at least 20 vessels of RST 12 and RST 22M projects.
