Last weekend a shipment of Damen pontoons and barges arrived in the port of Rotterdam on board of a vessel of ZPMC, which was unloaded in the Calandkanaal in the Europort region of the port. On the journey from Shanghai, the semi-submersible vessel also had room to transport a further six tugs and tenders.
The shipment carried eight different models, including Damen’s largest built-for-stock pontoon measuring 120 x 32.2 x 8.1 metres and has a deadweight of 20150 tonnes. Following last year’s shipment, a built-for-stock vessel of the same model was sold to the McKeil-Malaspina partnership.
