Emerald Waterways christened the Emerald Sky today in Amsterdam. British style icon, Twiggy, led the official naming ceremony, as the ships godmother, alongside the owners of Emerald Waterways Glenn and Karen Moroney, Captain Stamen Dimitrov and Patrick Janssens, CEO of Shipyard De Hoop, responsible for designing and building the new vessel. Immediately after the ceremony, the vessel went straight into service and will operate for the entire season in Europe, mainly on the rivers Rhine and Danube, the company said in its press release.
