UASC adds new Asia-Mediterranean service (AMC2)

United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) is introducing a new Asia - Mediterranean Service called “AMC2” starting 22nd April 2014 from Pusan, the Company said in a press release.

The AMC2 service will commence with MV Cosco Kaohsiung voyage number 0021W.

This new service expands upon UASC’s existing Asia - Mediterranean Service (AMC1), which will improve UASC’s port coverage in order to meet customer requirements and the growing demand in the Asia - Mediterranean trade.

The AMC2 offers direct calls from Pusan to Italy and Spain and wider coverage from South China. This nicely complements the direct calls from Yantian, Hong Kong, and Nansha on the AMC1 service. The AMC2 also offers a wider selection of common feeders across South East Asia via Singapore as transshipment hub and faster transit time from the West Mediterranean to Asia.

The new AMC2 port rotation is as follows:

Pusan – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Hong Kong – Yantian – Nansha – Singapore – Piraeus – La Spezia – Genoa – Barcelona – Valencia – Piraeus – Singapore – Vung Tau – Hong Kong – Shanghai – Pusan.
