RF Fisheries Agency suggests creating fishery terminals in Sevastopol and Kerch

Russian Federal Fisheries Agency (RFFA) suggests that two fishery terminals should be created at the Crimea peninsula, at Sevastopol and Kerch, the Agency’s press center says. According to the Agency this was announced by Nadezhda Shebina, Deputy Head of RFFA, at the meeting dedicated to urgent issues of the agricultural and fishing industry development at the new constituent entities of Russia and their adaptation to related state programmes of the Russian Federation.

“We would like to create fishery terminals at the territory of Sevastopol and Kerch … Local authorities are also interested in it as these are sea regions and fishery issues are of vital importance there,” Nadezhda Shebina said.

A working group is supposed to consider the projects aimed at the development of the fishery industry in the Crimea and Sevastopol. It will carry out the feasibility studies for the fishery terminal projects in Sevastopol and Kerch.
